Bayern Munich have decided to pass on making a bid for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.

The Germany international has just one year left to run on his contract with Real Madrid and the Spanish side are ready to consider his sale.

Khedira has been strongly linked with Arsene Wenger's Arsenal, while Bayern Munich were recently mooted as looking at the midfielder given a year-ending injury suffered by Javi Martinez in midweek.

But according to Spanish daily El Mundo Deportivo, the Bavarians will make no bid.

Indeed, while Khedira was discussed at the Allianz Arena, Bayern Munich officials could not reach a consensus over whether to place a bid.

Khedira may still be on the move from Real Madrid this summer as he continues to resist putting pen to paper on a contract extension.

The midfielder is thought to want a yearly salary of €7m.
