Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi wants to see Bastia striker Brandao banned from football for life.

Brandao appeared to headbutt PSG midfielder Thiago Motta in the tunnel after the game, seeming to wait for Motta in the tunnel and then launch an attack.

PSG won the contest at the Parc des Princes 2-0 and sit top of Ligue 1 after two games, with four points.

But Brandao's actions have overshadowed matters on the pitch and Al-Khelaifi wants the harshest of all sanctions on the 34-year-old.

"Brandao should be suspended for life – he is not a football player", the PSG president was quoted as saying by the BBC.

Brandao had clashed with Motta during the match and his headbutt saw blood pour from the nose of the midfielder.

PSG captain Thiago Silva, who is out with a hamstring injury, but was banned for pushing a referee last year, took to social media to urge a big ban for Brandao.

"I want to know how many matches this guy will be suspended for?", he said on Instagram.

"If I got three matches two years ago for touching the referee, imagine something like that? The fourth official saw everything, I was by his side when this guy attacked our player."
