Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti believes that Atletico Madrid will not change their style of play even though the Spanish champions have bought some good players this summer.

Los Blancos will take on Los Colchoneros tomorrow in the first leg of their Spanish Super Cup tie at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Italian has stressed that there are no clear favourites for the tie and said that the first leg will not be decisive even though a lead in the home leg won’t harm the European champions’ cause.

“There are no favourites in this tie”, Ancelotti explained in a press conference.

“It is a two-leg tie, 180 minutes, and we have to prepare well. The first match will not be decisive but we will try and take the lead and put in a good performance”

Ancelotti feels that Atletico Madrid will not change their style of play and will be difficult to beat even though the Spanish champions have made some smart purchases in the summer transfer window.

“Atletico have changed a little because they have signed some big players. Their style has not changed and it will be a difficult match, as it was last season.”

Atletico Madrid were beaten by Barcelona in last season’s Spanish Super Cup on away goals.
