Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti says he is unsure whether Angel di Maria wants to remain at the club, but insists the Argentine is in the mix to be selected for tomorrow's Spanish Supercup first leg against Atletico Madrid.

Di Maria has been the subject of persistent transfer speculation throughout the summer, with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United continually linked with making a move for the former Benfica star.

PSG have withdrawn from the race, dubbing Di Maria too expensive, but Manchester United are still in the mix. And Ancelotti is not sure whether Di Maria wants to leave Madrid, even though he is continuing to consider him for selection.

Asked about the winger at a press conference today, Ancelotti replied: "He is available like the rest.

"He may or may not start the match.

"I don’t know what he has decided [about his future]. I just know that he is training and ready for tomorrow’s match.

"This will be the case until 31st August, then we will see if he stays or he goes."

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is thought to be open to selling Di Maria as he looks to recoup a portion of the €75m fee spent to sign James Rodriguez from Monaco earlier this summer.
