In-demand Netherlands winger Memphis Depay has stoked the transfer fires by rejecting a new contract proposal from PSV Eindhoven.

Depay, who turned heads with his performances for the Netherlands at the World Cup in Brazil earlier this summer, has been linked with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

The winger has been forced to consistently field questions over his future, but has been evasive, promising to consider any offers which come his way but not committing to exit PSV.

However, he has shown himself very much open to a transfer by knocking back a proposal to talk about a new contract.

According to Dutch magazine Voetbal International, PSV made the offer to Depay, but the winger rebuffed the club, stating he wants to wait until after the transfer window.

The 20-year-old is determined to see what offers come his way and does not want to take himself off the market.

Depay's contract at the Philips Stadion runs until the summer of 2017 and he has been urged by team-mates and former players alike to remain in his homeland for at least a further year.

The winger has been in red hot form for PSV this season, scoring five goals in his opening three games.
