Wakaso Mubarak is all set for a rushed move to Scottish champions Celtic, after the Bhoys agreed a loan with purchase option with the Ghana star's club side Rubin Kazan.

Celtic want to wrap up the 24-year-old's capture in time for Wednesday's Champions League playoff tie against Maribor, which means they are racing against the clock.

According to Sky Italia, Wakaso is heading for Moscow to undergo a medical with Celtic officials, after which he will sign a loan contract, with the Bhoys also having a purchase option.

Should Wakaso successfully pass the medical, he will then fly directly to Maribor to meet up with his new team-mates.

Celtic boss Ronny Deila has been desperate to make additions to his squad ahead of the Maribor tie, as he attempts to guide the Scottish giants to the Champions League group stage.
