Napoli have agreed a deal with Manchester United over a season-long loan move for Marouane Fellaini but are still waiting for the player’s response, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Fellaini, who joined the Red Devils last summer, had a poor last season and has so far failed to score a competitive goal for the club.

The Belgian’s future has been a source of constant speculation since he was reportedly spotted with Napoli’s sporting director Riccardo Bigon and two agents earlier this month.

Napoli coach Rafael Benitez confirmed that the Italian giants are interested in signing Fellaini, but said that the ball is in Manchester United’s court.

It seems that Louis van Gaal has finally made his decision on the tall midfielder and is ready to wash his hands off the Belgian international.
