Marcos Rojo is standing by to head to Manchester for a medical with Manchester United, but has not presently been authorised to travel.
Manchester United are pushing hard to capture Rojo and have all but done a deal with Sporting Lisbon for the Argentina international.
However, contrary to reports, Rojo has not travelled to England for a medical with the Red Devils.
According to Portuguese sports daily O Jogo, Sporting Lisbon have not yet authorised Rojo to attend a medical with the Red Devils as several final details need to be finalised with Manchester United.
Rojo has already bid farewell to his team-mates at the Portuguese club, while he has also collected his belongings from Sporting Lisbon's training base.

However Rojo, who also trained with Sporting Lisbon earlier today, is now waiting for the green light to travel to England.
Barring last minute hitches however, the defender does look set to join Manchester United.
