Leeds United are continuing efforts to sign Brazilian playmaker Adryan from Cagliari, but owner Massimo Cellino has conceded the transfer is complicated.

The Yorkshire giants are keen on snapping up the 20-year-old, while Adryan is open to playing his football at Elland Road, the player's agent has admitted.

Cellino, along with current Leeds director of football Nicola Salerno, was instrumental in taking Adryan from Brazilian giants Flamengo to Cagliari at the start of this year.

While Cellino is keen to sign Adryan, he has privately conceded that doing a deal for the midfielder is complicated, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato.

Cagliari are thought to be reluctant to lose Adryan, whom they handed the number 10 shirt earlier this summer.

But the player is open to joining Cellino in England at Elland Road, leaving the door open for a potential switch.

Adryan, who has been compared to Brazil legend Zico, has also been chased by AC Milan and Manchester United at points during his career so far.
