Leeds United president Massimo Cellino is continuing to work on signing Cagliari playmaker Adryan, although a deal is still in its initial stages.

Adryan has indicated to Cellino that he wishes to move to Leeds, where the former Cagliari owner took control earlier this year.

But doing a deal for the Brazil Under-20 starlet, who was handed the number 10 shirt by Cagliari earlier this summer, is difficult.

Cellino though is working hard on pushing a potential switch forward and is expected to make concrete progress within the next few days, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport.

Leeds are eyeing taking the midfielder to England on an initial loan deal, with the agreement also likely to contain a purchase option.

Cellino is entranced by the skills of the Flamengo youth product and is certain he is set to reach the very top of the game.

And the Leeds owner would consider the capture of the playmaker to be a coup of the highest order.
