Striker Mirco Antenucci has confirmed he is leaving Ternana, bidding farewell to the Italian Serie B club, and heading for a new adventure with Leeds United.

Leeds have been on Antenucci's tail all summer and tireless work from the club's president Massimo Cellino and director of football Nicola Salerno has now paid off.

Antenucci, who scored 19 goals in Serie B for Ternana last term, is due in England tomorrow to put the finishing touches to his move to Elland Road.

The 29-year-old said via his Twitter account: "Tomorrow I leave to face a new adventure. It's difficult to express what I felt this year with a tweet.

"I thank all the fans of the Beasts and all the people with whom I shared so much.

"Good luck!"

Antenucci will add to Leeds manager David Hockaday's attacking options as the Yorkshire giants bid to put together a tilt at promotion to the Championship. He will become the club's latest signing from the Italian market this summer.
