Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta has revealed that Arturo Vidal's knee injury has completely healed and insists the Chile midfielder is never and has never been on the transfer market.

Vidal has been continually linked with making a move to Manchester United throughout the summer, but there has been no movement on a deal, while Juventus have continued to insist he is not for sale.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is thought to have had concerns about the knee injury picked up by Vidal and may hungrily digest Marotta's words, though the Juventus CEO also insists the club's stance on the 27-year-old has not changed.

"Vidal is good, he has resumed training and his knee has returned to normal functionality", Marotta told Sky Italia.

Switching his attention to transfer speculation, Marotta said: "He remains at the disposal of the team, and it's the same as normal.

"He has never been placed on the market and we've never started negotiations.

"As usual there are cliches in the media which are not reflected in reality."

It remains to be seen whether Manchester United, who are on the lookout to bolster their squad, will make a move for Vidal before the transfer window slams shut at the start of September.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri will be hoping to keep hold of the influential midfielder, but the player is believed to be keen to move to Old Trafford if Manchester United can thrash out a deal with the Bianconeri.
