Leeds United have confirmed the signing of striker Mirco Antenucci from Ternana for an undisclosed fee.

The 29-year-old has penned a two-year contract at Elland Road and expressed his delight at linking up with the Championship side.

Antenucci said via his Twitter account: "Proud to be a part of this club, LUFC I hope to give you a lot of satisfaction."

The Italian hitman scored 19 goals for Ternana in Serie B last term, turning heads.

Leeds had been on Antenucci's tail for much of the summer, but struggled to push a deal through over financial concerns.
