AC Milan are scouring Europe for a replacement for Mario Balotelli, who is heading to Liverpool, and Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez is under consideration at the San Siro.

The Rossoneri agreed to sell Balotelli to Liverpool for €20m earlier today, with the striker having now said his goodbyes to team-mates and staff at the club's Milanello training base.

Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola is now holding talks with Liverpool in a bid to agree personal terms for his client, with the former Manchester City man wanting a five-year deal on €6m per year net.

Milan have already moved on to thinking about how to replace Balotelli and according to Sky Italia, Hernandez is on an initial list drawn up by the Serie A giants.

Also on the list are Manchester City's Alvaro Negredo and FC Porto's Jackson Martinez.

Milan are expected to sink the full sum received from Liverpool for Balotelli into their search for a replacement.

However, the Italian side are not making profit on Balotelli, a player they paid €20m to sign from Manchester City in January 2013.
