Barcelona midfielder Javier Mascherano believes that the FIFA transfer ban will not affect his club, as they have their own group of young players to step up to the role.

The International governing body for football, FIFA, upheld the ban that had been imposed on the Catalan giants for having breached the rules for signing international under-18 players.




But the 30-year-old insists that the young talents that Barcelona have at present are capable enough of taking forward the high standards that have been set by the senior players over the years.

"From my own viewpoint, based on what I've seen during these four years, the club has taken great care of the kids at La Masia", the Argentine was quoted as saying by Spanish daily Marca.

"That's what I've seen; what I know to be true.

"You can see that they've given them the best quality of life so that they can be here."

Speaking specifically about the ban, the former Liverpool player added that the matter is too delicate and that is why he will refrain from giving his opinion on the issue.

"The matter is a little delicate for me to be giving opinions. I'm not completely familiar with the legal side of things,"
