FC Twente are in line to pocket up to €3m from Norwich City's sale of Leroy Fer to QPR.

The Canaries, who were relegated from the Premier League last term, sold Fer to QPR yesterday for a fee believed to be around €11m.

Twente, who sold Netherlands international Fer to Norwich last summer, inserted a sell-on clause in the deal and are now poised to reap the benefits.

According to Dutch magazine Voetbal International, the Tukkers are in line for around €3m from Norwich, as per their agreement with the Canaries.

Twente have not yet been paid the last part of the transfer fee owed by Norwich for Fer, which had been due to arrive in 2015.

Now though Twente expect the money sooner and may put it in their summer transfer kitty to strengthen their squad in the current window.

Twente snapped midfielder Fer up from Eredivisie rivals Feyenoord in 2011, the 24-year-old costing the Tukkers a fee of around €5m.
