Leeds United have reached an agreement with Cagliari over signing playmaker Adryan, but still have to do deals with the player's agent and the club that own the Brazilian, Flamengo.

The Yorkshire giants are hot on Adryan's tail with president Massimo Cellino, the man who took the midfielder to Cagliari on loan from Flamengo during his time as owner of the Serie A club, desperate to take him to Elland Road.

Cellino has been working overtime on the deal and has now achieved his first breakthrough.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Cellino has now managed to find an agreement with Cagliari, who are prepared to release Adryan to allow the midfielder to head to Leeds.

Cagliari had snapped up Adryan on loan, with a mandatory purchase option thrown into the deal, at the start of this year, and handed him the number 10 shirt earlier this summer.

However, Leeds do not yet have an agreement with Flamengo, who continue to hold the player's rights, or with Adryan's agent.

Now Leeds will switch their attention to Brazil and reaching an agreement with both respective parties to take the 20-year-old to Elland Road.

Adryan is thought to be keen to move to England, but Flamengo's view is unclear.
