Mario Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola has just finished meeting with Liverpool officials, with talks between the two parties being described as "positive".

Earlier today AC Milan accepted a bid of €20m for Balotelli from Liverpool, who are hunting a striker, aiming to replace the 31 Premier League goals Luis Suarez scored last term.

Balotelli bid farewell to his team-mates at Milan's Milanello training base and expressed his view that the day was his last at the club.

And while Balotelli trained in Italy, his agent Raiola held talks with Liverpool officials in London to thrash out personal terms for the striker.

The meeting has now ended and according to Sky Italia, it has been described as positive.

There are still final details to iron out, but both sides are confident of reaching an agreement that will see Balotelli become a Liverpool player.

If Balotelli completes his medical and signs on the dotted line in time, he could join Liverpool in time to face his former club Manchester City on Monday in the Premier League.

Milan signed Balotelli from Manchester City in January 2013 for €20m.
