Barcelona hold an interest in Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria, but Los Blancos will not entertain the possibility of doing business with their bitter rivals.

Di Maria has asked to leave the Bernabeu after becoming disillusioned over the amount of playing time he will receive in the upcoming campaign.

The Argentine has been linked with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain throughout the summer, though the latter have backed off doing a deal due to UEFA financial fair play rules and Real Madrid's demands.

And Manchester United may have a free run at Di Maria after Real Madrid rebuffed Barcelona's enquiry over the Argentine.

According to Catalan daily Sport, Barcelona have informed Real Madrid that they are keen to sign Di Maria. But Real Madrid have told the Catalan giants that they have no intention of selling Di Maria to their rivals.

Barcelona are thought to be willing to meet Real Madrid's €60m asking price for Di Maria, but even that will not persuade Los Blancos to negotiate.

The potential list of destinations for the wantaway Argentina international is shrinking rapidly, although Monaco are continuing to monitor the situation.

It remains to be seen whether PSG can find a way to do a deal, or if Manchester United firm up their interest in the winger.
