Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will not be drawn into commenting on Mario Balotelli's return to the Premier League with Liverpool.

The striker is heading to Anfield after Liverpool agreed a €20m fee with AC Milan for his services.

Mourinho managed Balotelli during his time as coach of Italian giants Inter, but is not prepared to discuss how the striker might fare at Anfield and has stuck to simply wishing him luck in general.

Asked about Balotelli at a press conference, Mourinho replied: "I don't speak about players from other clubs. He is a Milan player signing for Liverpool, or already a Liverpool player.

"The only thing I say is that I wish my former players the best and with Mario it's no different."

Balotelli is at present on his way to England where he will undergo a medical with Liverpool ahead of putting pen to paper on a five-year contract with the Reds.

The striker, who joined Milan in January 2013 from Manchester City, will not be registered in time to face his old club in the Premier League on Monday evening.

Balotelli won one Premier League title and one FA Cup during his time at Manchester City.
