Former Italian international forward Alessandro Del Piero is considering an offer from Indian Super League (ISL) outfit New Delhi Heroes.

The ISL is the brainchild of the All India Football Federation (the Indian FA) and its commercial partner IMG Reliance.

The tournament is set to start this September and the likes of Luis Garcia, Robert Pires and David Trezeguet have signed up as marquee players for various franchises. Fredrik Ljungberg has also signed up as an ambassador for the tournament.

Del Piero, who left Australian A-League outfit Sydney FC earlier this year, is a free agent and is believed to be interested in finishing his career in the MLS.

However New Delhi Heroes, one of the ISL franchises, have made an approach for the former Juventus striker, according to Sky Italia.
