Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini believes his side have learned from defeats on the road last season after they came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Everton today.

Seamus Coleman put the hosts ahead with just 19 minutes on the clock, while Steven Naismith then ensured Everton would head in 2-0 ahead at half-time.

But the Toffees could not hold on as Arsenal continued to push forward, benefiting from the introduction of striker Olivier Giroud, who provided a focal point.

Aaron Ramsey put the Gunners back in the game by striking in the 83rd minute, before Giroud grabbed the equaliser in the final minute of the game.

And Flamini feels Arsenal have learned from regularly losing away to top five teams last season, having gone down to a 3-0 defeat at Everton last term.

"It was a great performance from the team because being 2-0 down it was not easy for us", the midfielder told Sky Sports.

"We had some chances to score in the first half, so it was a bit unfair for us [to go in 2-0 down].

"[Manager Arsene Wenger] said there was space to create opportunities [at half-time] and to come back. We believed we had the possibility to come back into the game.

"We have learned a lot last year when we were playing away against these kind of teams. So we have learned.

"We didn't give up until the last moment."
