Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has stressed the importance of Arsenal keeping a clean sheet tomorrow against Besiktas.

The Gunners host the Turkish outfit tomorrow at the Emirates Stadium in the second leg of their Champions League playoff tie. The first leg in Turkey finished in a 0-0 draw.




The former Southampton man believes that reaching the group stage of the Champions League is vital for Arsenal due to its status.

“The Champions League is one of the biggest competitions in the world”, the winger said in a press conference earlier today.
 


The 21-year-old insisted that if the Gunners can manage to keep out Besiktas tomorrow evening he is confident that they have enough in attack to win the tie and progress to the group stage.
