Marco van Ginkel is to meet with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho to discuss his future at the club, amid the possibility of a loan move this season.

Van Ginkel, who missed the majority of last term with a serious knee injury, is wanted by Italian giants AC Milan.

The Serie A club have contacted Chelsea about taking Van Ginkel on loan and are hoping they can get their man.

According to Sky Italia, the midfielder is now set to meet with Mourinho to discuss the best way forward.

Van Ginkel is keen to secure regular first team football this term, something which it appears unlikely Mourinho will hand him at Stamford Bridge.

However, if Mourinho agrees to open the door for the former Vitesse man to leave, Milan may face opposition for his signature.

And Chelsea could prefer loaning Van Ginkel within the Premier League to build up his English experience.
