Tottenham Hotspur have joined the long list of clubs that are lining up a bid for Paris Saint-Germain’s highly-rated midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Rabiot has only one year left on his contract with PSG and has so far refused to entertain a new deal.

The 19-year-old, who made only 12 league starts last season, is concerned about the amount of first team opportunities he will get this season in Paris and wants guarantees from the club hierarchy.

His agent, who is also his mother, Veronique Rabiot, said earlier this year that the young midfielder cannot afford to warm the bench at PSG for one more season.

PSG coach Laurent Blanc also conceded last week that the Rabiot might leave the club this summer, but refused to reveal the Frenchman’s destination.

"It is possible that Rabiot will leave us, but I won't tell you the destination", Blanc said.

Tottenham Hotspur have now entered the race to sign the French Under-21 international, according to L’Equipe.

Spurs expect to face stiff competition from north London rivals Arsenal, who have kept track of proceedings in Paris throughout the summer.

Rabiot is also wanted by Juventus and AC Milan.
