Barcelona have agreed a fee with Sao Paulo for the transfer of Brazilian full-back Douglas.

Blaugrana officials arrived in the Brazilian city earlier this week to close out the deal for the former Brazil Under-20 international.

The Catalan giants will fork out a transfer fee of €4m and will pay a further €1.5m as bonus payment based on the Brazilian’s performance at the Nou Camp.

Douglas will travel to Barcelona later this week to undergo a medical and will sign a five-year contract with the club.

The 24-year-old started his career with Brazilian outfit Goias before moving to Sao Paulo in 2008.
