Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen has insisted on getting the job done against AEL Limassol in their Europa League qualifier tomorrow.

The Lilywhites carry a 2-1 advantage from the first leg in Cyprus and will want to progress in front of their fans at White Hart Lane.

However, the 27-year-old warns that his team still have to do the work to secure a place in the group stage of the tournament.

“We have to get the job done”, Vertonghen told his club's official site.

“It’s very important to get into the group stage and we are in a good position now.

"So hopefully we can get through on Thursday and then we’ll see where we get."

Mauricio Pochettino's team will want to continue with their good form of late, having won both their league matches against West Ham and Queens Park Rangers, respectively.

With a goalless draw being enough to secure their progress, much will depend on the team's defensive abilities and Vertonghen himself will be aware of the fact. The Belgian has been an integral part of Tottenham's defence since 2012, having played a total of 82 matches.
