Liverpool youngster Kristoffer Peterson has joined Dutch outfit FC Utrecht on a permanent deal.

The 19-year-old signed for the Reds in January 2011 from Swedish outfit Savedalens IF, but never made a competitive senior appearance at the club.

In November last year he was sent on a short loan to League One side Tranmere Rovers where he made six league appearances for the club.

The winger also signed a contract extension with the Reds in January and finished the Under-21 season with six goals in 15 appearances for the Liverpool Under-21 side.

Peterson was on target in pre-season friendlies against Brondby and Preston North End last month and also travelled with the squad for Liverpool’s pre-season tour of the United States.
