Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Lewis Holtby has revealed that he might leave the club this summer in search of more first team action.

Since joining the Lilywhites in 2012, the 23-year-old has managed a mere 41 appearances for the London-based side, scoring three goals.

He was loaned out to Fulham during the second half of last season, managing a total of 13 appearances for Felix Magath's side, but failing to help them retain their Premier League status.

As a result, the Germany international has now been linked with a move back to the Bundesliga with Hamburg showing keen interest in securing the services of the player.

"We're just going to have to see what happens in the next few days and weeks", Holtby was quoted as saying by ITV.

"I'm a young player and I want to be playing all the time. That's very important for me, for my development and for my career."

Holtby, who has a contract that runs until June 2018, though expects to get a final chance to prove his worth in England.

"Preferably, I would stay here with Tottenham of course and that's why I really hope that I get a chance", Holtby added.
