Ajax are moving quickly to replace Daley Blind, who is heading to Manchester United, by targeting Heerenveen starlet Daley Sinkgraven.

The Dutch champions have agreed to sell Netherlands international Blind to Manchester United for a fee of €17.5m, excusing the midfielder from the squad for their weekend clash against FC Groningen so he can wrap up the switch.

But Ajax have not been sitting idle in the face of consistent speculation Manchester United would come for Blind and have already identified his successor.

According to Dutch broadcaster NOS, Frank de Boer's men are set to move for Heerenveen starlet Sinkgraven.

The 19-year-old, who has been tipped for the top and even attracted interest from Barcelona, is a Netherlands Under-19 international.

Ajax are now expected to move quickly to complete a move for Sinkgraven before the transfer window slams shut.

The Dutch champions may also add one further player to replace Blind, with an experienced head having been identified, something which would allow Sinkgraven to be eased into life at the Amsterdam ArenA.
