Inter are in talks with Liverpool over forward Fabio Borini, but have seen the Reds rebuff an initial proposal to loan the former Roma man.

Liverpool accepted a bid from Sunderland for Borini earlier this summer, but the Italian has been reluctant to commit to a permanent move to the club he spent last season on loan at.

AC Milan have tried and failed with a loan bid, while Atletico Madrid have been preparing a swoop for the player.

And Borini has been keen to have as many options on the table to choose between as possible.

Now another has arrived in the shape of Inter, who have contacted Liverpool to start talks over signing Borini, according to Sky Italia.
