Daley Blind is a step away from joining Manchester United after Ajax agreed a fee with the 20-time English champions.
Blind was an important cog in Louis van Gaal’s Netherlands team that finished third in the World Cup earlier this summer.
And since the former Ajax manager took over the reins at Old Trafford, the 24-year-old has been constantly linked with a move to England.
Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars expressed his desire to hold onto Blind yesterday but also suggested that something might happen in the last 72 hours of the transfer window.
Blind is close to sealing his move to Manchester United after Ajax accepted a bid of around €18m from the Red Devils, according to Dutch daily De Telegraaf.

The Dutch Footballer of the Year is expected to arrive in Manchester on Monday to complete the formalities and become a Manchester United player.
Blind has made 143 appearances for Ajax and has won four Dutch league titles with the club.
