Italian outfit Roma have reached an agreement with French outfit Paris Saint-Germain to sign midfielder Adrien Rabiot for €15m, according to L'Equipe, but it remains to be seen if the player will agree to the switch.

The 19-year-old has been at the centre of attention this summer after refusing to sign a new contract at the Parc des Princes; his current deal expires in 2015.

Rabiot has just one year remaining on his current contract and has cited the lack of first team action as a reason to seek a transfer.

And clubs from all around Europe have shown keen interest in securing the services of this highly-rated French midfielder.

English giants Arsenal were interested in the player along with a number of clubs in Italy, including Juventus and AC Milan.

However, it has now emerged that Roma are the new favourites, having already reached an agreement with the French side for a proposed move for the player.

The Italian side though have to convince the player to join the club in order to complete the transfer.

Since joining PSG in 2013, Rabiot has played a total of 34 matches for the French champions, scoring three goals.
