Saphir Taider is poised to join Serie A outfit Sassuolo on a season-long loan deal from Southampton.

The Algerian midfielder joined the Saints in a swap loan move that saw Dani Osvaldo move to Inter Milan earlier this summer.

The midfielder has failed to adapt to life in England and is finding it difficult to meet Ronald Koeman’s physical training demands at the club, according to the BBC.

And the 22-year-old is again set to move after it emerged that Southampton are ready to loan him to Sassuolo.

He has just played once for Southampton’s Under-21 side and has not made a senior appearance until now for the club.
