In-demand Monaco striker Radamel Falcao was left out of the squad for today's Ligue 1 clash against Lille at the Stade Louis II, as speculation he is on his way out of the club continues to grow.

Falcao, who joined Monaco last summer from Atletico Madrid, has been linked with exiting on loan, with Arsenal, Juventus and Real Madrid consistently mooted as admirers.

And the principality club took no risks with Falcao's fitness today, omitting him from their squad for their 1-1 draw with Lille, with the striker instead watching from the stands.

Monaco played Dimitar Berbatov and Valere Germain as their two strikers, while another, Anthony Martial, was introduced off the bench at half-time.

Falcao played and scored in Monaco's clash against Nantes last week and had been named amongst the squad for the Lille clash, but was not included in the side or on the bench.

The Colombian did not take part in the pre-game warm-up and the situation will only add to speculation he could quit the side before the transfer window closes.

He instead watched the game from the stands, alongside his agent Jorge Mendes.

Falcao earns €12m per year at Monaco, something which is thought to be a sticking point for potential suitors.
