Javier Hernandez will arrive in Madrid tomorrow to complete a season-long loan switch from Manchester United to Real Madrid.

The European champions are answering coach Carlo Ancelotti's call for another striker to be signed to serve as backup to Karim Benzema.

And if Hernandez impresses at the Bernabeu, Real Madrid will have an option to make his move a permanent one for a set fee of €22m.

On the salary front, the Mexico international will earn €3.5m per year with Los Blancos, according to Sky Italia.

Ancelotti has been desperate for Real Madrid to provide him with another striker since Alvaro Morata was sold to Juventus earlier this summer.

In Hernandez, who has slipped to the fringes at Old Trafford under new Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal, the Italian has his man.

Hernandez will hope to do more than warm the bench and provide cover for Benzema however, with the Mexican having grown frustrated at a lack of first team action in England.
