Leeds United have wrapped up the signing of 19-year-old defender Dario Del Fabro on a season-long loan from Italian side Cagliari.

Del Fabro had joined Serie B side Pescara on a season-long loan earlier this month and even appeared for the club in the Coppa Italia. But now he has headed to Elland Road.

Leeds announced: "Leeds United can now confirm the loan signing of Dario Del Fabro from Cagliari, subject to international clearance."

The young defender's loan agreement contains an option to make his move permanent should he impress.

Del Fabro's arrival continues Leeds' extensive shopping spree in owner Massimo Cellino's Italian homeland this summer.

It remains to be seen if Leeds will make any further additions before the transfer window closes tomorrow evening.

Meanwhile, the club are continuing their search for a new manager after showing David Hockaday the door.
