Cardiff City are set to sign Gabon international defender Bruno Ecuele Manga from French outfit FC Lorient.

Manga, who joined Lorient from Ligue 2 side SCO Angers in 2010, has a year left on his contract with the club.

The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to England earlier this summer with Southampton mooted as one of the clubs interested in the central defender.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Cardiff City are on the verge of sealing a deal for the Gabon international defender.

The defender will undergo a medical later today in the Welsh capital and sign for the Championship side, according to the BBC.
