Inter were offered the opportunity to sign Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah before the transfer window closed, but rejected the chance.

The Egyptian winger was snapped up by Jose Mourinho's men in January this year, Chelsea notably beating Liverpool to the signature of the former FC Basel star.

However, it appears Mourinho has already deemed Salah to be surplus to requirements and the Portuguese tactician was prepared for the player to leave Stamford Bridge.

According to Sky Italia, Chelsea contacted Inter to offer them the chance to sign Salah.

However, the Nerazzurri did not even consider the proposal as they believed Salah was not the right fit for coach Walter Mazzarri.
