Leeds United are selling striker Matt Smith to Championship rivals Fulham.

The hitman only recently penned a new contract with Leeds, but he is now being offloaded by the Yorkshire giants before the summer transfer window slams shut.

According to the BBC, Felix Magath's Fulham will pay Leeds a fee of £500,000 to sign Smith.

The 25-year-old joined Leeds in 2012 from Oldham Athletic and was soon praised for his committed and physical displays in attack.

But having brought in a number of new strikers this summer, including Mirco Antenucci, Leeds have decided Smith's future would be better served elsewhere.
