Monaco have immediately put into use the loan fee received from Manchester United for Radamel Falcao by making a late €10m bid for Cruzeiro attacking midfielder Everton Ribeiro.

The 25-year-old, who joined Cruzeiro from Coritiba in January last year, has two years left on his contract.

He was linked with a move to Manchester United in December last year, but that trail has gone cold.

Monaco, who agreed a deal with the Red Devils to loan Falcao earlier today, are keen to land the attacking midfielder late in the transfer window.

The Ligue 1 outfit have made a bid of around €10m for Ribeiro, according to Brazilian news outlet Globo Esporte.
