Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that they have signed Benjamin Stambouli from Montpellier.

Montpellier confirmed last week that a deal for the midfielder has been agreed with the north London side.

Stambouli is a product of the French outfit’s youth academy and made his first team debut for the club in August 2010.

He made 129 appearances for the club and won the French league title with Montpellier in the 2011/12 season.

He passed a medical at Spurs earlier today before signing on the dotted line with the club.
