The agent of Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck claims that more clubs that just Arsenal want his client – and they are prepared to meet the fee the Red Devils want.

Welbeck has been reported at Arsenal's training ground ahead of a potential move to the Gunners, but Manchester United want £18m to sell the England international.

Or, should they loan Welbeck out, they want a £3m fee.

Arsenal are thought to be negotiating to try and bring the price of Welbeck down, but they have been warned that other clubs want the striker and are prepared to pay exactly what Manchester United want.

"There are two clubs who will meet the fee, the other want him on loan", Jonathan Hope told the BBC.

The clock is now ticking down to the closure of the transfer window and it remains to be seen if Arsene Wenger will get his man, with a new striker essential at the Emirates Stadium due to an injury to Olivier Giroud, ruling him out until the new year.
