QPR are in talks with Liverpool over signing Fabio Borini, with the R's just the latest club to join the race for the Italian forward.

Sunderland had a bid for Borini accepted earlier this summer, but the former Roma man has taken his time over deciding whether to join the Black Cats.

Italian giants Inter are also interested in Borini, along with Spanish champions Atletico Madrid.

However, QPR boss Harry Redknapp is now trying to tempt Borini to Loftus Road, according to the BBC, with talks taking place between the R's and Liverpool over a potential deal.

Borini is surplus to requirements at Anfield and slipped further down the pecking order recently when the Reds signed Mario Balotelli from AC Milan.

AC Milan themselves tried to sign Borini recently, contacting Liverpool about a loan deal, but the Reds are looking for a permanent sale.

Borini joined Liverpool in 2012 from Roma. He spent last season on loan at Sunderland.
