Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour has suggested his old club have all but signed Danny Welbeck from Manchester United, a signing he is pleased with.

Welbeck has been reported as at Arsenal's training ground this evening and undergoing a medical ahead of sealing a move to the Gunners from the Red Devils.

Arsenal have been on the lookout for a new striker and Arsene Wenger appears to have found his man in England international Welbeck.

Parlour said via his Twitter account: "Welbeck looks like signing!

"Happy Arsenal fans? I am, good young English player. Opportunity to play striker."
