Southampton are set for a double swoop on transfer deadline day as Toby Alderweireld and Sadio Mane are undergoing medicals at the club, according to the Press Association.
Alderweireld, who joined Atletico Madrid last summer from Ajax, has been consistently linked with a move away from the club this summer with Arsenal being one of the clubs interested in him.
It emerged yesterday that the defender, who made only ten league starts at Los Colchoneros, has decided to join Ronald Koeman at St. Mary’s.
The south coast club are also on the verge of signing Red Bull Salzburg forward Mane.
The Senegalese international has scored 45 goals in 87 appearances for the Austrian outfit and is expected to bolster’s Koeman’s attacking options.
