Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been dropped as an expert by French broadcaster TF1 after ten years providing expert commentary for the TV channel.

Wenger's analysis has formed a staple of TF1's coverage of the France national team's games over the last decade, but the adventure is now coming to an end, with the Gunners boss' contract not being renewed.

According to French daily Le Parisien, TF1 made the decision after viewing Wenger's analysis as insufficient and his comments as too minimal.

The news reportedly came as a shock to the Arsenal manager, who was expecting to have his contract renewed as had been the case over the last ten years.

Wenger has continued to have his say on the France national team, using the platform of TF1, as Les Bleus have battled to qualify for World Cups and European Championships.
