Inter are planning to use a trip to the Ukraine to strike the first blow in the chase for Dnipro winger Yevhen Konoplyanka.

The Ukraine international has already signalled that he will not sign a new contract with Dnipro, with his current deal expiring next summer.

That has placed a number of clubs on alert, with Konoplyanka particularly popular in the Premier League, where Liverpool came within a whisker of signing him in January.

He was also linked with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

But Inter are desperate to win the race for the Ukrainian's signature and, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, hope to hold talks with the player's representatives on 18th September, when the Nerazzurri play Dnipro in the Europa League.

Inter hope an early offer and charm offensive on Konoplyanka will go a long way towards ensuring they win the race for his services.

The 24-year-old, who was developed in the youth ranks at Dnipro, is keen to secure a move to western Europe.

Konoplyanka has won 36 caps for the Ukraine to date.
