John Guidetti feels he has received a huge amount of criticism which is not warranted.

The striker recently signed for Scottish champions Celtic on loan from Manchester City, but was forced to wait several days to have the deadline day switch approved by FIFA.

Guidetti, who had an unsuccessful loan spell at Stoke City during the latter half of last term and has not managed to feature in a competitive game for Manchester City, feels he has been unfairly criticised.

"Many people have thrown a bucket of s**t on me", he told Go Sweden.

"There has been so much bad stuff written about me.

"What have I done to deserve so much hate towards me?", he mused.

"There will always be haters.

"It's not that I was deliberately on the bench or in the stands at Manchester City. I always do my best."

Guidetti accepts that his confident attitude and stubborn persona can sometimes have an effect on how he is seen, but insists that acting in such a way helps to bring the best out of him.

"But then I'm just at my best. I have to express myself in that way", he explained.

"I'm better when I'm aggressive and angry, even when I play with friends."

Guidetti will be hoping to hit the back of the net on a regular basis with Celtic this term as he aims to put his career back on track.
