Arsenal are trying to secure deals for two of Barcelona’s brightest young talents, Munir El Haddadi and Sergi Samper.

El Haddadi, a highly-rated centre-forward, broke into the first team this season and has already scored a league goal in two appearances for the club.

Samper, dubbed as the new ‘Cesc Fabregas’ in Barcelona, is yet to make a senior debut for the club, but is one of the most highly-rated young midfielders and is a regular in the Barcelona B side.

However, both players have a €12m release clause in their contracts and the Gunners are ready to take advantage of the situation, according to Catalunya-based daily Sport.

Barcelona are not ready to lose any more of their bright young talents to Arsenal and are ready to offer improved contracts to both El Haddadi and Samper, without the precariously low release clause.

Arsenal have already set the wheels in motion though and the Catalans giants need to get their act together fast to secure the future of their academy graduates.

In 2003, Arsenal snapped up Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona and the Spaniard went on to captain the Gunners. He eventually rejoined his boyhood club in 2011 and spent three seasons at the Camp Nou before joining Chelsea this summer.
